Toffee is a spectacularly beautiful dog with bags of personality who arrived at love underdogs as a puppy. He came back to the rescue a few years later as the family had grand children visiting regularly, which was not suitable for Toffee.
Once Toffee has formed a relationship with someone he is a truly amazing boy. He loves human affection and everyone who knows Toff always has to stop and say hello when they see him! He can be a bit choosy with which dogs he likes to be friends with but he has a good selection of pals here at the kennels that he enjoys walking with 🐶
Toffee is our big water baby! Whether it’s a pool or a puddle Toffee will always be straight in there! He loves the outdoors and going for walks but due to his arthritis he can’t go too far 🌳
Toffee takes regular medication and is on a specific diet due to his allergies, it is essential this is continued in his new home as he can get flare ups which can result in him losing his fur. As Toffee suffers from arthritis, his weight needs to be managed and maintained or he can end up in quite a bit of pain. He is a very fluffy boy so it is important he is groomed regularly. If these
Toffee needs an experienced home, with people who are confident and relaxed and have a good sense of humour, you’ll need one with toffee! He needs someone who will be able to manage his experience with strangers entering the house, this will be a slow process for Toff. We’re looking to place Toffee in an adult only home, as the only pooch, due to Toffs allergies and Arthritis we would like to keep life in his new home as calm and simple as possible. Toffee is a big loveable bear, joyful and playful, affectionate and fun with so much to give, he’s just waiting for that committed and experienced family.
IDEAL HOME:
An experienced adult only, relaxed home with a positive energy, routine and the ability to treat their dogs as dogs. Oh and he needs a full toy box! He loves them! 🙂
In turn Toffee will bring a smile to anyone’s face, he is really funny and there’s nothing more joyful than to watch him run around like the happy puppy we love to see him be.
Note:
All our dogs go on home trial for two weeks before an adoption. We offer post adoption support and access to a behaviourist and trainer for the life of our dogs.
