Paddy is a hugely endearing little dog who has been in a home for a few years before coming back to us due to a change of circumstances in the original family. He will therefore be used to all things domestic. He is a dog who so deserves a chance because he has made some phenomenal progress since his arrival to us. Paddy has been on quite a journey with us as he not only has transformed a great deal behaviourally but he also had to undergo 3 surgeries on his knees for cruciate ligament injuries. It’s all been repaired now and should not be causing any issues as he had both knees done!

On behaviour, Paddy came to us in a terrible state of anxiety and has bitten a number of people in the early days. With the people he knows and has been introduced to, he shows nothing but absolute admiration and adores his handlers. He is a very cuddly and affectionate little dog and will need an experienced home who will take into account that Paddy has bitten in the past so they will need to be vigilant, but that said we take Paddy to his vet appointments, he sees lots of different faces and has been perfect even under pretty intense vet examinations for his legs. We do keep him muzzled in an public situation though out of precaution. If Paddy does feel stressed he can react and may not warn.

Paddy will do great in a home that is perhaps not too urban, somewhere a bit more rural or semi
rural/sub-urban so that he has the opportunity to go on lots of lovely adventures. With other dogs he is good but can get a little over excited at times, so we feel that in a home he would do great as an only dog or to a dog he has been introduced to properly and get on with great. He will certainly be someone’s little wing man!
Introducing visitors will need to be done very mindfully though.
Paddy travels beautifully in the car (for anyone wanting to take their dog on holidays and trips) and always has a smile on his face. He is a very happy dog with a great ability to make people around him feel equally happy.

Once you are in Paddy's heart (and that is not difficult) you are in his heart forever and the nitial investment into the relationship is very much worth it. He is a very smiley boy with a great enthusiasm for life who will bring a great energy to any home. He is a bit of a comedian too and he has some die-hard fans who always comment on how hilarious he is! He spent time in foster and he did so well. He loved it, and we would like to see him in his home.
He loves his walks and adventures, he enjoys cuddling up on a sofa and snoozing quietly in a warm and cosy bed. What more could a dog want?

IDEAL HOME
Paddy needs a loving, understanding and committed adult only home. On the list of 'musts', is a family willing to give him lots of cuddles. He is one of our most affectionate dogs. He also needs an experienced person or adult only family who will take care in introducing him to new people, and who will take him on lots of adventures whilst being vigilent. This would be a dream for Paddy.

What my friends say...

Paddy has the super power that enables him to make people smile non-voluntarily. He's such a loving, cheeky chap that never fails to warm hearts. -Maddie who takes Paddy home for weekends breaks. I used to walk Paddy. I absolutely loved him. He always looked pleased to see me and seemed to greet me with a big smile and a waggy tail. I loved paddy kisses, he licked me very gently on my nose. If my dog wasn't so jealous I'd have lived to have brought him home. -Sharon - Paddy's no1 fan
