Egbert is our BFG (Big Friendly Giant)!

A loveable, quirky kinda guy, Egbert's favourite moments are when he's giving the team cuddles and smoochy kisses!

He’s a big softie at heart and really just wants to love and be loved in return. He can be a little reactive when first meeting men, but this is something we have been working on with him and he has really done well when getting to know new people in the team. Needless to say, Egbert’s adoptive family will be fully supported by our behaviourist should they ever need it.

The Egster loves his toys- the squeakier the better! He even chats back to them as they squeak! He’s an absolute pro on walks and generally gets on well with other dogs he comes across, he's just not overly fond of dogs who are intact.

So, what type of home would Egbert like?
- An adult-only family that has experience with larger breeds (and doesn’t mind a bit of slobber- its
just Egbert’s kisses, after all😊)
- A home without children or other pets.
- A nice garden space- Egbert’s obviously on the larger side so he does need some room to play and just be Egbert!

If you'd like to get to know Egbert, please fill out an enquiry form and we will be in touch!

Adopting from LU:
- All our dogs go on home trial for four weeks prior to adoption.
- They are trained with force free, positive reinforcement-based training methods. If you adopt from us, you agree to continue using only these methods and also to train with kindness.
- Every LU dog has been fully checked and assessed by a UK vet and a behaviourist. We offer post-adoption support and access to our behaviourist for the life of our dogs, as well as full rescue back-up.
- Each dog goes to their new home with a fitted harness, collar and flexitag so they can look and feel their best when they start their new lives.
