🐾 Meet Dave 💙

Dave is one of those dogs who makes people smile instantly. Bouncy, goofy, affectionate and endlessly entertaining, he has grown up with us here at the rescue and has become hugely loved by everybody who knows him.
With the right guidance and consistency, Dave has come such a long way and is now ready to find a very special home of his own.

💛 His Personality

Dave is full of life and character. He absolutely loves his walks, adores chasing a ball, and thrives when he can get outdoors and enjoy himself. Whether he is zooming around in the secure field with dog friends or proudly carrying his beloved ball around, Dave approaches life with enthusiasm and joy.
He’s also incredibly affectionate with the people he trusts and forms very strong bonds. Beneath the happy, playful exterior, however, Dave is actually quite a sensitive and anxious dog who can become overwhelmed more easily than he first appears.
This is really important for potential adopters to understand. Dave can often look like he is coping well on the surface, but internally he can still be finding situations stressful or overstimulating. Because of this, he needs people who are genuinely good at reading dogs and who understand that settling into a home is not just about what you see externally.
Dave needs time, patience and a calm approach while he adapts to a new life.

🧠 What Dave Needs

Dave is looking for a home that will introduce him to the world slowly and thoughtfully. While he enjoys walks, adventures and enrichment, his future family will need to resist the temptation to do too much too soon.
Initially, Dave needs:
• 🏡 A calm and secure routine
• 👩‍❤️‍👨 A maximum two-adult household
• 🚪 Minimal visitors while settling
• 🍷 No busy pub trips or chaotic social environments initially
• 🧠 People who understand anxious or sensitive dogs
• 💛 Time to decompress properly and feel safe

Once Dave feels secure, his wonderful personality shines beautifully. But he absolutely needs a family willing to let him settle at his pace rather than expecting him to instantly adapt to a busy lifestyle.

🐕 With Other Dogs

Dave loves other dogs and really enjoys seeing dog friends out and about. He has been fantastic playing with other dogs in our secure field and absolutely thrives when he can zoom around and burn off energy appropriately.
That said, within the home we feel Dave will do best

as the only pet, where life can stay calm, structured and fully focused on helping him feel secure.

🌿 His Ideal Home

Dave is looking for a home where he can truly become part of the family and enjoy life at a pace that feels safe and manageable for him.
His ideal home would be:
• 🏡 Adult-only with a maximum of two people
• 🐕 As the only pet, to keep life simple and predictable for him
• 🚫 No visiting children
• 💛 Calm, relaxed and emotionally steady
• 🚶‍♂️ Happy to enjoy walks, adventures and quality time together
• 🐾 Able to give Dave plenty of companionship and inclusion in daily life
• 🛋️ Happy to let him decompress gently and build confidence over time

We truly believe that once Dave feels safe and secure, he is going to thrive as an incredibly loving, fun and loyal companion.

Established in 2011, our dogs are cared for by an experienced team in kennels and foster homes, with their wellbeing always at the centre of what we do.
All of our dogs receive:

• 💛 Any known medical concerns addressed or discussed in advance
• 🌍 For foreign rescue dogs: full blood panel and Brucella canis test
• 🐾 Behavioural support for life
• 🏡 Rescue backup for life

Our support does not end at adoption — we are here for our dogs and their families for the long term.
