Our dear lovely Chico. An old girl, who is still very much young at heart. Chico has unfortunately spent the most of her life in and out of kennels through no fault of her own, such a sad tale for this beautiful lady. Chico is an akita, but she does not have the classic temperament of Akitas. She is very affectionate with everyone, playful, mindful, sensitive, well-mannered, strong-willed and what we would describe as a kind soul. Every moment she spends with people is a moment that you can tell she deeply treasures. Chico is a happy go lucky dog who is great with other dogs on and off lead, and it goes without saying that she is amazing with people. She always does a cute little dance when she sees us coming to her kennel, truly adorable. We want nothing more than for Chico to feel the warmth of a nice loving home, and for a family to cherish her just as much as we do at Love UnderDogs!
Chico loves her daily exercise whether that be a walk, off lead time with her friends,
or having a play with the staff here. Although she acts young, she is a large breed older dog, so her new family will need to be a little patient and understanding that she cannot go for massive great distances bless her. She has recently been checked over by our vet who assured us that all her joints are in tip-top condition though! She is just a little slower but still very much willing!

As we were unable to carry on with adoptions throughout lockdown, this means Chico has had to spend more of her life without a home. Now it is her finally her time to be appreciated for the caring dog that she is.

Chico is looking for a home with a garden, either as an only dog or with another dog (if they do not mind larger pooches!). Most importantly she is looking for a family who will provide her with the unconditional love she has missed out on for so long- a place to curl up for a nice snooze after some playtime.
