Our sweet boy Biscoff is looking for somewhere a little more peaceful to spend his days. Biscoff has a very calm nature, but unfortunately we cannot provide an entirely calm environment for him to match at the kennels. He is a sensitive soul that loves going on nature-filled adventures both in and out of the car, and adores finishing off his outings being curled up in bed with his favourite cuddly toys. 🐻
Biscoff came to us very very withdrawn and distant; since then we have accomplished our mission to make him trust people once more, and to let that fabulous personality shine through with confidence. This older boy is brilliant with other dogs out and about! Both past and present Love UnderDogs residents have shown favouritism to Biscoff due to his soft ways and respectable manner. He really is an older gentleman! He does prefer to be an only dog inside the home as this is his time to have a snooze or daydream. Biscoff is also great with people- having met several people from vets to visitors and beyond, he is always praised and complimented on his behaviour, which we are very proud of him for!
Unfortunately his affection towards people
does not transpire into a home environment; Biscoff is what we would define as a 'true streety' and is easily overwhelmed with domestic life, which can lead to complicated relationships with those in the home and those visiting. We have found that Biscoff is better off with just one caretaker rather than two, and in a carefully managed environment so that he is set up for success. We offer lifetime behavioural support for our dogs and are very happy to chat through this with Biscoff's potential family 😊
We are doing a lot of work with Biscoff still on walking in urban environment and his recall thanks to our 1-2-3 game is brilliant. We truly believe that once out of the busy environment surrounding the kennels he will live a full and complete life. He needs an adult-only home as an only dog, in a quieter area with access to large green spaces. We will miss not having Biscoff here with us, and will miss seeing that beautiful face each morning as he greets us! We know this is the only way for him to complete his journey.
