TamTam aka Princess TamTam is a gorgeous girl originally from Egypt. She was found in a terrible state, her body covered in sores, in a house with a lot of other neglected dogs (see picture). She was subsequently rescued by a local group and was flown by a UK charity to this country for her to find a forever home. She ended up with us as she is a little bit anxious of new things and needed help with her confidence. She is now a very happy girl with everyone she knows, but is weary of strangers. She will need a family happy to come and meet her on a number of occasions so that she can get to know them before going on a home trial.
Tam Tam gets on with other dogs but prefers boys and can be a little choosy at times so not all dogs will be a match if you already have one. We can see her being an only dog enjoying all the attention that she deserves though.
Tam Tam came to us with a deformed leg, probably from birth, so some of the pictures show her
half leg. Our orthopaedic surgeon felt that this half leg was affecting her posture and gait as she was trying to put it down but it meant she was dropping down. She had an amputation and is now a lot straighter! It certainly does not affect her emotionally or indeed stops her having fun as you can see from her videos. She runs really fast and is a very playful dog who has adapted incredibly well. She is also one of our water babies, she Loves being in the pools! So having a little pool for her in the summer would be great.
IDEAL HOME:
Tam Tam is looking for a person or family to absolutely adore her, give her lots of cuddles and attention but equally be in tune with her as she is a sensitive dog. She could be a little woofy at strangers if unsure and an experienced home would be important for her. She does like to go on her walks and meeting other dogs so keeping up with her socialisation even though she may be an only dog would be important. She is adorable, incredibly affectionate, a relatively small girl who is a funny one-off! She will make a family so happy <3
