Emily is a really beautiful dog who has spent the last few years in a pound in Romania, sharing with her 3 friends, Yakari, Chester and Koshi in very difficult conditions. She was a very sad girl who has now found her smile again.
We think she is a Blue Chow Chow cross, perhaps mixed with a Raven Shepherd. She has a partially blue tongue as well. She is an incredible dog, a great character who has made friends with everyone at the kennels and gets noticed everywhere she goes. She is a dog with a real presence, and charisma. She looks at people with great focus and you certainly feel like everything you say matters greatly when she's in your company! She also loves a cuddle and a hug with Emily feels like the real thing! She’s like a big bear ?
She will require an experienced home though, she is a large dog with a good head on her shoulder, so not for first time owners. She is walked on a head collar as she is a very strong dog and does very well on it.
People with a great sense of humour would be great, she's a very funny girl! She may be an older dog but she is a fit dog. She can get choosy with canine companions, she gets along with them fine as long
as they go along with her plans, so we think that she will thrive as an only pet.
She is very food focused, which is a bonus for training and she is incredibly clever.
Health wise, Emily has had a full health check, she had a comprehensive blood profile done and had a dental too. She’s in really good shape.
IDEAL HOME
All Emily wants is an adult only home (we don’t tend to place senior dogs with children, and she’s a big girlie), as an only pet to make life easier or with carefully introduced sibling. She loves her friend Chester so could be placed with him in a home easily if someone wanted two dogs. She needs someone committed to keeping her coat lovely, a trip to the groomer occasionally will probably be a good thing. She is also ideally looking for a home that is not too urban, so no city centres or flats. She does well in traffic, but for a dog like her a little more space is better. A good garden, relaxed and experienced people with confident personalities who want a large cuddly bear and won’t mind that she may be choosy with some dogs she meets out and about would be brilliant. Oh and she does need active and fit people too. Emily is a one-off! You won’t see another dog like her again! In return her humans will get 100% pure love, loyalty and adoration.
